Landman Season 3: Production Delay Pushes Return to Late 2027

Landman season 3 is not returning this weekend. Decider estimates the Paramount+ drama, renewed in December 2025, could drop in mid-to-late 2027 after a delayed production start in Texas.

Searches for "landman season 3" are rising as fans look for a return date for Taylor Sheridan's oil-industry drama on Paramount+. There is no new episode this week, and the third season has not yet been given an official premiere date. Based on current production timing, Decider's best guess is that the new season will arrive in mid-to-late 2027.

Why the wait is longer

Decider reported that production on Season 3 was delayed. The show did not begin filming in Fort Worth, Texas, until October, and the series is expected to remain in production through early 2027. That timeline is the main reason the season is unlikely to follow the fall release pattern of the first two seasons, which debuted in November 2024 and in 2025.

The season 2 finale premiered on January 18, 2026, on Paramount+. Landman has been one of the streamer's most successful shows, both critically and commercially, according to Decider. Paramount+ renewed the series for a third season in December 2025.

Cast and production updates

Several additions have been announced for Season 3. Michael Kelly, who appeared in Lioness, has joined the cast in a role described as a "titan of industry who leads the largest oil management firm in the world." Colm Feore, Mustafa Speaks, Bobbi Salvor Menuez and Francesca Xuereb have all been promoted to series regulars, Decider reported.

Local production activity has also continued in Texas. Dallas News reported that the production has put out further casting calls for local extras for Season 3. Separately, San Antonio Express-News reported that actress Paulina Chávez has teased what viewers can expect in the next season. Neither report gave a premiere date.

How to watch the existing seasons

The first two seasons are streaming on Paramount+. Decider listed the ad-supported Essential plan at about $8.99 a month and the ad-free Premium plan at about $13.99 a month, with a seven-day free trial on Premium at the time of its report. Prices and offers can change, so readers should check the streaming service before subscribing.

What we know so far

Landman season 3 is renewed and in production, with filming starting in Fort Worth in October. No official premiere date has been announced, and Decider's mid-to-late 2027 timing is an estimate rather than a confirmed schedule. Paramount+ has not yet released an official date, so viewers should watch the network's announcements for updates.
