Palmeiras vs Remo: Brasileirão 34th-round match kicks off at Nubank Parque

Palmeiras host Remo at the Nubank Parque in São Paulo on Thursday evening in the 34th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, with a 19:30 Brasília time kickoff. The match is the trending search "palmeiras vs remo" and carries more weight for Remo, who sit second-from-bottom in the table.

Palmeiras rotate with one eye on the Copa do Brasil

Palmeiras are second in the league with 70 points, three behind leaders Flamengo, who have 76 after beating Grêmio on Wednesday. Victory would keep the gap manageable, but the club's attention is also on the Copa do Brasil semifinal.

Palmeiras travel to Vasco on Sunday, where a draw will be enough to reach the final after they won the first leg 1-0. Coach Abel Ferreira has rested several regulars, according to UOL, and fielded a mixed side with Vitor Roque in attack. Barboza, Giay, Piquerez, Evangelista and Flaco López start on the bench.

Sosa and Paulinho remain out with physical problems. Palmeiras have no suspended players.

Remo look to climb out of the bottom two

Remo arrive after ending a three-month winless run with a victory over Botafogo. Coach Thiago Carpini kept the same starting line-up for this game.

Remo are 29 points adrift in second-from-bottom, nine points behind Internacional, the first side outside the relegation zone. Their situation remains precarious, and a win over Palmeiras would help them keep their hopes alive. Remo have no chance of relegation this round, according to UOL, because the result will not decide their position.

Zé Ivaldo returns to the Remo defence after serving a suspension. Remo's coach has no major absences for the trip to São Paulo, according to ge.

Player form and what comes next

Ge's statistical comparison shows Palmeiras' Maurício and Remo's Jajá with almost identical attacking numbers this season: nine goals and one assist each. Maurício has played 28 matches and Jajá 27. Jajá has the better finishing rate, at 47% against Maurício's 41%.

The result will shape both sides' league ambitions and show how Palmeiras balance the title race with a cup semifinal. Broadcast details are available from Premiere, and ge is running live coverage.

What we know so far: the match is confirmed for Thursday at Nubank Parque, Palmeiras have a mixed line-up, and Remo are trying to end a poor run in the table.
